May 30, 2019, Army General Order 2019-18 abolished the Army Marketing and Research Group (AMRG) by redesignating W6WCAA, AMRG’s Unit Identification Code (UIC), to the Army Enterprise Marketing Office (AEMO) and reassigning it (including the transfer of authorities and responsibilities, personnel, and resources) from reporting to the ASA M&RA to the Army Deputy Chief of Staff G-1 (DCS).

August 1, 2019, Army Directive 2019-25 established AEMO, and it designated the Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis (OEMA) at the United States Military Academy as the proponent for establishing and managing Functional Area 58 (FA-58) Marketing Officers.

June 25, 2021, Army General Order 2021-06 reassigned AEMO (including transfer of authorities and responsibilities, personnel, and resources) from reporting to DCS, back to reporting to the ASA M&RA.
